Introducing Diane Leigh, in her own words...

I’m fledgling on fire, otherwise known as Diane. Dream Seed Ambassador, Wandering Writer, Alan Whicker-esque Wannabe. My recently published memoir, Dream Seed Magic ~ A Journey Beyond My Imagination, shares my story to find and follow my dream to live a year in France. Its purpose is to inspire and encourage others to find their own dream seed and experience the magic of living their dreams too. 

I discovered that my dream seed began in my soul and as I realised my dream, my true self emerged. This allowed me to experience life and engage with the world with increased confidence and self-esteem, love and self-worth, and freedom. I began to live my life, as me, on my own terms.

In January, I designated 2013 to be My Year of Magic. I returned to the UK, after living my dream in Paris, with new dreams to follow. And I began to write my book. But The Universe decided it had bigger and better plans for me and led me, mid summer, to Magic Judith. Since then, encouraged by her wisdom and experience, I've launched my celebrated Dream Seed Chatathons to help others to find their dream seeds. I've launched my first website fledglingonfire.com where I write Postcards from … well, wherever I am! I've published my book. And I've begun to explore and prepare for my next project, my little British things Tour, next year.

It’s been an adventurous roller-coaster of a year including many magical twists and turns. One of the most beneficial things I've learned for my business has been to let go of trying to follow how others do things, which suits them, to discover my own way, thus suiting me perfectly. By anchoring being true to myself at the core, I’m discovering the ultimate path of least resistance.

2014 is dominated by my expedition plans for my little British things Tour. Guided by our coast and a dream to inspire others, I intend to travel around the isles and lands of Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland and England. To explore, observe and collect, to communicate, share and celebrate stories of the ordinary of our everyday. To discover all the Britishness behind and underneath what makes Britain Great. From Shetland ponies to clotted cream teas, from the weather to the honeyed green rolling between shores, from pints to pound sterling, and all the apologies and eccentricities in between. And to raise money for a charity unique to our island life, the Royal National Lifeboat Institute - The Lifeboat. Look out! I’m coming to a bit of Britain near you soon …

On that note I’ll keep in mind - when taking the first step towards living a dream seed, it’s impossible to know, plot or predict where it will take you. It’s a voyage into the unknown, a magical experience that will change you and your life beyond your imagination.

Is It Time For You To Live YOUR Dream in 2014?

Well, if Diane's story doesn't make you want to get out and about and live your dream too, I don't know what will, apart - possibly - from a copy of her book which I've read, by the way. I think I was privileged to be one of the first. These are the little everyday rewards that go with my job.
